Cover Design
$65.00

Design Package

Congratulations, you’ve written, edited, and are now ready to publish your book. The thing is, selling your book isn’t all about the amazing story you’ve written inside; you need an equally awesome cover to sell it. That’s where I come in. My background in marketing and communication means I don’t just create designs that look stunning, but designs that sell. As your designer, I want to help you create a cover that you’ll love and one your readers will fall in love with.

What my Design process looks like:

  1. First, you tell me what you are looking for. You may have a color palette you like, or elements from your book you want to include, whatever it is, you can let me know!

  2. Then I will send you some preliminary designs so you can decide a direction you want to go in.

  3. Then all you have to do is sit back and wait for me to deliver your final designs.

  4. Just kidding... There is one more step that involves you. I want to make sure you are happy with your cover, which is why I offer revisions even after you receive the final designs.

  5. I also offer a 30-minute concept call before or after the designs are delivered to discuss possible ideas or changes.

$65 is the standard rate for eBook covers, $90 for Paperback, $100 for Hardcover, and $120 for all three formats. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have before booking my services.

I look forward to working with you on your cover. Together, we will bring your story into the hands of expectant and eager readers!

Line/Copy Editing

Line/Copy Edits Package

So you’ve gone through your story and addressed the big-picture issues... wonderful job! Now on to the more nitty-gritty. Sometimes, as writers, we need an extra hand, a person to look at our work and steer us in the right direction. As your editor, my edits will focus specifically on making sure the words in your manuscript elevate your story, not distract from it. As a writer, there are so many times you can read through your manuscript before they become just words on a page. I’m here to keep you from saying, “I can’t believe I missed that” when your book is published. My copy edits typically follow CMOS (The Chicago Manual of Style). However, if you are looking to receive edits on an article or academic paper, I am also familiar with AP, MLA, and APA style. My edits will help your story shine and stand out to readers and agents alike.

What my edits include:

  1. In-line comments throughout your manuscript that you can track and manage during the editing process

  2. A 7-10 page editorial letter addressing sentence structure, readability, repetition, and consistency. The letter will include suggestions and ideas that address the big picture and the comments made within the story. I offer you advice on how to fix things, not just pointing out what you did wrong.

  3. A client-exclusive editing package to help you tackle the grand task of editing with confidence and certainty. This is something that I offer exclusively to my clients, many of whom have found it incredibly helpful when beginning the editing process.

  4. An hour-long phone call (if desired) once everything’s sent back to you to help with brainstorming, ask questions, clarify, etc. I believe an editor is not just someone who looks over a story once and then sends it off to the author. I am here as a partner, always available even after the project is completed. Two weeks after our initial call, or even three months after, you can always book a follow-up phone call with me to discuss any issues you may be running into. Sometimes, all we need is someone else to bounce ideas off of. And, of course, I am always available via email!

I charge $0.008 per word, so, for example, an 85k-word novel would cost $680. I charge half of the payment upfront and the other half upon completion of the project. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have before booking my services. I also offer sample edits of the first ten pages of your novel, submitted via email; no attachments accepted.

I look forward to working with you on your book. Together, we will bring your story to new heights!

My sincerest congratulations on completing your book…certainly not an easy task. Sometimes, as writers, we need an extra hand, a person to look at our work and steer us in the right direction. As your editor, my goal is to be your manuscript’s biggest champion. My developmental edits will focus on everything from world-building to character arcs. Essentially, I will offer edits to make what's great about your book even better and help you flesh out the parts of your story that may need more attention. My edits will help your story shine and stand out to readers and agents alike.
